'The act and joy of playing games was the inspiration for the collection,' Weiland tells ELLE UK. 'On our moodboard were sweet puppies doing tricks, vintage playing cards and beautiful embroidery motifs.' The result is a capsule of irresistible, responsibly-crafted novelty knits in shades of navy, red and cream, and with the distinctive Shrimps stamp of ribbons, lace, frills and scalloped details.

Weiland's favourite piece from the collection? 'The deep red pointelle headscarf,' she says. 'The scalloped edge and the comfort of the soft regenerative wool around your neck is so nice. I also love how versatile the piece is, you can wear it so many ways, as a wool neckerchief, a bow round your handbag, a bandana...'
Our top pick, meanwhile, has to be the teeny tiny dog jumper – sweet enough to melt even the frostiest of grinch hearts, made from regenerative wool, and with a matching human-size version to boot. We certainly know what we want for Christmas...
